Consists of a photocopy of a brochure that was originally published in Chicago in 1889 by Charles W. Greene, a stock and bond broker representing the Lanoria Mesa Company of El Paso, Texas. The brochure describes the advantages of living in El Paso to prospective buyers of land there. The Lanoria Mesa Company was a syndicate of capitalists who had recently secured 50,000 acres of "the choicest limestone land" on the mesa east of the Franklin Mountains, and was attempting to sell them through the publication of this brochure.
